Instructions for a No-Sew Fleece Blanket

This is so easy, you can do it watching TV or talking on the phone. The kids can help, and you can use this same method to make snuggly pillows to match. Get the fleece on sale, and it just doesn’t get better!Instructions for a No-Sew Fleece Blanket, Jan 2009

While surfing the Internet today, I found these instructions for making a warm, snuggly polar fleece blanket from one and a half to two yards of material - and you don't even need to be able to sew!

I'm not sure how much polar fleece material costs, but, the chances are that you will be able to find some reduced in price in the January sales, so this project won't cost you much money.

I plan to hunt down some cut price polar fleece material and make this blanket just in time for winter to arrive in Australia.

If it is already winter in your part of the world, you could make this quickly and easily and snuggle up underneath it! Or, you could give it as a gift to someone who would truly appreciate a little extra warmth in the midst of the winter.

Hi Roz, this is moving Bev here. It's so easy to forget that the seasons are opposite in Australia and that you are now having your blazing hot summer. We watch the Australian Open so it appears it's scorching down under. Now, where I will be heading soon, there is definitely a need for warm blankets.

Hi Roz,
Thanks for your comment on my blog! I was trying to find a blog of yours where I could stop by and say hi! Australia looks like a wonderful place...I'm going to read more of your blog...and this one also looks great! Thanks for your well wishes for my quarantine--the time is going forward--so far, so good!

Have a great day!

Hi
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I have just been reading your other blog about your life in Australia. I recognise the train journey from Woy Woy to Sydney. My aunt and uncle used to live in Woy Woy but now she lives in Wyong and we visited them a couple of years ago. We went into Sydney a couple of times on the train and the scenery is amazing. We got our PR visa last year, it only took us just over 4 months which came as a shock. We are planning a trip in July as we have to validate our visa but we have just put our house up for sale so fingers crossed it sells and we can move over this year. Your blog is very interesting as we will be moving to the Central Coast and I have bookmarked it. I tried to leave a comment on it but I had to log in.

Hi Roz, I like your blog, just up my street and very much in a Bulagrian fashion.

Thansk for the comment on my blog, it's also good to see new people from different parts of the word with a common element - blogging!

Warm Regards Martin

Hi Bev, Sher, LizzyT, JM, Martin and Emm,

Thank you for all of your comments. Unfortunately, I've neglected this blog a little over the past month but I'm going to try to find more time for it - and for crafting on a budget!

Thank you, Emm, for becoming my first follower! I hope that you are inspired to get back into crafting!

I made a fleece blanket as a baby gift. I took two pieces of fleece, cut them to a square, then cut a four inch fringe around the entire square. When that was done, I knotted the fringe together and in doing so, knotted the two pieces of fleece together. It looked really cute when it was done.

Hi Marilynne,

Making a baby blanket is a great idea. It would be good to try if you hadn't made a fleece blanket in this way before.
